The start of something
A brief intro
I’m Matt–a regular guy from the North East of England with a passion for the little things in life.
In August last year, I quit my 9-to-5, packed my bags, and decided to take a step into the unknown. Now I’m wandering the world under the guise of finding myself (just kidding). But I am in pursuit of something. What exactly? I’m still figuring that out.
What’s the point of this?
Let me start by admitting I’ve never been much of a writer. I make spelling mistakes that autocorrect can’t fix. But last night, I had a fleeting moment of inspiration, so I decided to start this blog. Why? Honestly, I have no clue yet.
I guess I wanted to document my journey. Partly so I don’t forget it. Mostly so I can try cash in on affiliate links reflect and actually appreciate where I’ve been and where I’m going.
For now, it’s a place to dump my thoughts. You can expect travel stories, half-baked life insights, and sporadic, unfocussed streams of consciousness. I’ll also throw in some photography to make it look like I know what I’m doing.
Update 11/25: I decided to migrate these posts to my main site from my neglected travel blog. Read more here.
Will this blog change your life? Probably not. But it might give you a laugh, make you think, or at the very least, help you kill a few minutes at work while avoiding whatever you’re supposed to be doing.
What’s the travel plan?
Right now, I’m in Perth, enjoying some downtime. My next stop is Bangkok. A world of chaos my senses are absolutely not prepared for.
So here we are. A blog that has no clear direction but plenty of potential. Stick around if you want. Or don’t. Either way, enjoy what’s next.
